
Safuan has exhibited and performed in Beijing, Paris, London and New York. This called for a dive into the realm of generative art and he has been creating autonomous or predetermined systems to generate sonic compositions that will modulate the motions of a visual form. Safuan first scored an audio-visual piece more than a decade ago and recently, he has been exploring visualising his own sounds. Safuan is constantly reimagining the spectres of the cultural past through digital and technological lenses. He has also composed and produced music for theatre, dance and film. In the realm of sound design, he has worked on various multimedia art installations and performance productions.

Safuan Johari is a Singaporean sound designer and music producer. Her short stories and poems have been published in anthologies by Math Paper Press and Ethos Books. Nabilah is a former arts correspondent and critic for The Straits Times and has six years of experience as a communications professional with the Singapore Art Museum, National Heritage Board and various creative agencies. She was selected for the Boiler Room incubation programme cycle 2015 at Centre 42 in Singapore. In 2015, she was chosen by the National Arts Council to represent Singapore for the Southeast Asia Literary Council drama retreat held in Indonesia. Nabilah was the artist-in-residence for Teater Ekamatra from 2016 to 2017.

In 2018, she co-founded Lazy Native, an international theatre collective that champions Southeast Asian narratives.

She is the founder of Main Tulis Group, a collective of playwrights creating work in Malay and English. Her plays have been staged in Singapore and London. Nabilah Said is a playwright, critic, poet and the editor of arts media website, ArtsEquator.
